My name is Jacob Robertson and I have lived in Norfolk County my entire life, having been born here in 1950. I have seen many changes over the years but still consider this beautiful area home. I enjoy writing about the people, places and history of our community in my spare time.

As a lifelong resident, I have had the opportunity to see several generations of local families grow and businesses come and go. One thing that has remained consistent is the commitment of Norfolk County Council to meeting the needs of people with disabilities (source: Norfolk County). Having some disabilities of my own, I appreciate all the programs and services the county offers to seniors.

In my retirement, I volunteer with the Norfolk Fire Fighters to help address the needs of the growing population. Through community involvement and documenting the past, I hope to play a small role in shaping Norfolk County’s future. This place will always be home to me.
